PARKING ON CAMPUS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8AM AND 4PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY IS FOR PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY, SO IF YOU’RE LIVING ON CAMPUS OR CLOSE BY, CYCLING OR WALKING IS YOUR BEST FORM OF TRANSPORT.

PARKING AT THE BAY STUDIOS CAR PARK IS PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY 24/7.

There is no parking at Bay Campus, Bay Studios or Singleton Park Campus for students between the core hours of 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday*, unless you have a permit.

Out-of-Hours permits are available to students at a cost of £30 per year, allowing parking on Singleton Campus and Bay Studios outside of the above core hours (I.e., between 4pm and 8am, Monday to Friday and on weekends).

Outside the core hours of 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, those without an out of hours (or other valid) permit, including visitors, will need to pay to park on campus using the TPS app or available pay stations.

*Student permits to park on campus during core hours will continue to be made available to those students meeting certain criteria. See information below.

Pricing

Due to disproportionate charges and with considerable costs to the university car parking infrastructure,  we have recently completed a review of parking permit costs. As a result, there will be a phased increase to some permit types over the next 3 years. This will primarily affect students with medical permits, carer permits and creche permits.

  • In year 1 - from September 2024, these permits will increase from £44 to £100 a year.
  • In year 2 – from September 2025, these permits will increase to £200 per year.
  • In year 3  - from September 2026, these permits will increase to £300 a year, to match the current cost for other student parking permits.

There is currently no charge for students in possession of a Blue Badge. Moving forward permit costs will be subject to regular review.
